The Spiky Bureau is committed to protecting your privacy and take our responsibility of keeping personal information secure seriously. Your personal information and how we collect it

We may collect personal information from you when you use our website, we define this as information that identifies, or could identify, you. This information may be collected when you:

  • download any products and through this site;

  • complete an online contact form to contact us;

  • complete an online booking to schedule a meeting with us;

  • send us an email or other communication.

We only collect personal information to the extent that is necessary to conduct our business operations as a boutique neurodivergent consultancy. We may hold personal information such as:

  • telephone/mobile numbers

We may use your personal information to provide our suite of services and free resources, respond to any queries or feedback that you may have, prevent and detect any misuse of, or fraudulent activities involving, thespikybureau.com, stay in contact about our events, services and new offerings or seek your feedback to improve any of the products and services.

On occasion, we may also use your personal information to provide you with information about other services offered by third parties which we think you may find interesting. In order to deliver the products/services you require or for the aforementioned use cases we may disclose your personal information to organisations outside the Company. This may include organisations who provide services including, but not limited to billing functions, digital marketing system and emailing services.

Storage and security of your personal information

Confidentiality matters to us. We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorised use or alteration. Personal information may be stored electronically and/or as hard copies. Multi-factor authentication, passkeys/passwords, routine updates of MacOS and email filters are part of our operating strategy to protect all of our electronic information. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical. Likewise, we take all reasonable measures to ensure the security of hard copy data, where applicable. Your data is stored for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Your data will proceed to be deleted completely or anonymised.

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 16 years of age. If we learn
that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 years of age, the personal data will be
deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 16 years of age has provided us with personal data their parent, caregiver or guardian may contact hello@thespikybureau.com for us to delete their data.

Storage and processing by third parties

Your personal information we may collect, as listed above, may be stored or otherwise processed by third party services with data centres based outside the EU, such as Google Analytics, HubSpot etc. This storage and processing does not materially impact your rights, freedom or interests. The Spiky Bureau considers collection and processing of this information with these services is necessary to pursue our business objectives as a boutique neurodivergent consultancy.

The Spiky Bureau engages only with third parties with sufficient privacy protocols and confidentiality commitments in place to ensure your data remains secure. This processing is reserved for specified purposes as outlined above.

We endeavour to ensure you are informed of any impact this may have on our ability to provide you with our products and services.

This may include situations whereby giving you access would be unlawful or unreasonably impact on another person’s privacy.
